About Shaun

Dear Grandville School District Voters My wife Lisa and I have been married for 18 years. We first lived on the Northside of Wyoming and when we were able to purchase a new home in 2009, we intentionally wanted to live within the Grandville School District as we considered Grandville to be one of the best districts in the Greater Grand Rapids area and the added benefits of our home being close to work and where we were able to be part of a great community.

We have a daughter attending Grandview Elementary and our 3 year old Schnoodle – Luna. My wife works for the district as a lunch lady and I work for a company called Fortna as a project manager where I am responsible for managing re-control projects for FedEx Ground Sorting Systems.
My wife and I worked as Children’s Ministry leaders at Cornerstone Church for 3 years, and I truly love this community and would love to be a new voice for Grandville Schools.
My passion for Grandville schools has grown over the past few years as I became heavily involved in the last school board election. The process gave me the nudge to take my conservative values right to the source where families and education come together with the community.
I would appreciate your support and vote to represent this community in the November election for the Grandville School Board. I will provide a voice for tradition and family values with the education of our youth.

I have known Shaun Yonker for over 20yrs. No matter where we have been and no matter what it takes, Shaun has always made it a point to travel to visit, pick up the phone and talk and just make sure everything is going well and if there is anything he can do to help.

Shaun is someone that politicians wish they could be, someone who is loved for telling the truth and elected for helping the hard working people he represents. He is a commonsensical individual, so if something doesn’t seem right he will investigate it and make sure nothing is hurting the cause. He listens, and absorbs what people say and makes it his goal to know a little about a lot of things vs knowing 100% about one thing.

He is a man of many trades and has a family that loves him and has been a foundation for his growth as a person, father and husband. Many people say that Family is forever and no matter what they will be there for you. Shaun looks at life a little differently. If you are a friend, you are family and he will always be there for you to help in anyway.

I endorse Shaun 100% and have no fear of Shaun ever being corrupted by any position he holds. He will always support common sense and what is right for the people he represents. My only fear is Shaun will straighten things out so quickly that people will think it is too good to be true. But, NO, doing the right thing is something we the people have not seen from our government in a long, long time. It is time that changed, and Shaun Yonker is the man for the job.

Long Time Friend:
